Adventure Club- East

We went on another Utah adventure. This time to Duchesne and Myton. Both so rural and so desolate compared to what I'm used to. This little trip confirmed that I will never live outside of the city. I'm a city girl and I'm not afraid to say it.
I will say though, that this was a fun little trip with mini horses, trailer parks, a creepy cemetery, and nice Utahns that told us there is nothing to do in Myton. The consensus:  While the surrounding mountains, fields, and bodies of water are pretty; we won't be traveling to Duchesne area anytime soon--or ever again for that matter.

The mini horses! We called them to come interact with us, but they just ignored us and kept eating.
No joke: NC knocking on the front door of the nearby house, hoping to ask the owners if they'd show us their ponies. No one answered.

Everyone (minus me) posing with ye ponies.
Cowan's Cafe! Surprisingly delicious. I liked this neon sign a lot.
Totally some kid's Eagle Scout project. This was the creepiest place ever, with the most bizarre grave decorations.
The big sky was gorgeous... that's all I can say about this place.
Utahn Cemetery. Yes, those are fake flowers, how depressing. I don't have any pictures of Myton, because there was nothing but trailer parks, a few houses, and a convenience store. We were looking for something specific (I don't remember what), and when we asked the cashier at the gas station what there was to see in Myton, she said (exact words): "Umm.... nothing. This place is stupid." Enough said.

Adventure Club

It's been a stressful (to say the least) last few months. For the first time in my life, I was in a different place every weekend for five weeks straight. While I enjoyed getting away, I also miss having lazy weekends. And even though life may not be perfect during the week, I can still say that I enjoy the beautiful things this world has to offer --like these weekend adventures from February. Nothing like a Sunday afternoon to explore some of Utah's greatest.
I give you rural mines, never-ending pits, and floating airplanes. Enjoy... you know you wish you were there.

N.C. and C.K. making the rounds in Eureka, Ut.
Snowball off the beaten track. Literally.

Pretty.

We climbed all over and let our feet hang over the edge. Do not try this at home!

I had to run to get in the picture, after a few attempts, we finally got one.

Mine ruins and graffiti, the best combo.

Notice C.K. in the corner.

Is it a plane? Is it a boat? Nope. It's a duck!

Following our shadow.

Saw plenty of this...

And a lot of this...loved every inch of it. Notice the cute, small lighthouse.
